It was, in fact, not a new trend. I missed a few days.
But today started a new week and I did a 20 Minute Jam.
I start a new job tomorrow, so maybe with some routine in my life I’ll be better able to maintain an exercise routine while they gym is closed. I miss my workouts with Jenn.

Another 20 Minute Jam.
That’s 3 every-other-days in a row. Could this be a new trend?

Another 20 minute Turbo Jam.
I’m getting kind of good at this. I wish I had a 30 minute workout, but the next one is a 40 minute jam. 40 minutes seems a bit too long for me yet.

And another 20 minute Turbo Jam.
Did some squats and high knees randomly throughout the last week. I miss the gym.

20 Minute Jam today. I really like turbo jam. Something about the movements and the music.
I even kept up fairly well today. I do the low impact version (no jumping, lower kicks, etc), but it’s still a challenging workout. It feels good.
I still miss the gym.

So I’ve ditched the pilates program and gone back to Turbo Jam.
Today I did the 20 minute workout. I forgot just how much more intense it is than the 15 minute Burn!
The Burn is meant as an introduction to the concept of a Turbo Jam workout, and the 20 minute workout digs right in and gets you sweating from minute 2! But I made it through. Not well, but no need to be a perfectionist my first time through, right?

Today I did a Turbo Jam. The 15 minute Burn video. It went better than yesterday. Very sweat, much heart beat. Felt good.
Then I stretched for a while. Yay!

About ten days ago I let myself give up for a bit. The world turned upside down, everything closed down, and things got strange. I consciously allowed myself to wallow for a while. I knew I’d eventually pull myself out of my funk because I’m a positive and resiliant person by nature. But I needed some time to process, to regroup and adapt.
Mostly I stress-cleaned, slept excessively, watched a lot of streamed movies and TV, and crocheted things.

In honor of social distancing, Jenn and I did not go to the gym today. We both worked out separately at home.
Amanda did a bunch of random stuff that she hopes equals a real workout.
Throughout the day there were:
- 30 goblet squats with a 10 lb medicine ball
- About 10-15 really poorly done ‘push-ups’
- A 25 minute walk outside with the husband that went for right around a mile (very cold!
