Today was Amanda’s training day with Trainer J!
J was out last week with an injury, we skipped lifting the Sunday before that and walked this Sunday, so this week is lifting on Monday and Wednesday after not lifting for almost 2 weeks. Fun.
Leg Press Sets: 10x each leg singly, 10x both
180 lbs
270 lbs
270 lbs single, 360 lbs both
Standing Twists with the Viper (log):
3 sets of 10 reps on each side
Step ups on a short box:
3 sets of 10 reps each side*
Kettlebell Deadlifts: 2x 18 kg kettlebells
3 sets of 10 reps
*My step ups are so much better than a year ago!! Much faster, much more stable! My toe tap at the top is barely a tap rather than setting down the whole foot! Yay progress!
There was a short stretch, followed by walking with Jenn.
My walk was significantly slower than Jenn’s :)
Then more stretching.
Today’s lifting-high discussion included Trainer J’s injury and how an injury can remind you to take time to appreciate the awesomeness of your body and to focus on properly stretching to avoid injury.
